Andrew was introduced to the art world by his father, art dealer Lance Crawford, and was brought up from a young age to appreciate Impressionist and Colonial Art. Andrew started his apprenticeship in the art market as a porter at Christies, London in 1985 and it was not long until he established himself as an art trader, dealing in Modern and Contemporary works alongside Impressionist and Colonial.

In more recent years, Andrew has been the Head of Art at Bonhams & Goodman and the National Head of Art at Menzies Art Brands.
